In the end, according to this system (if we can lose our salvation) [Arminian/Anglo-Catholic], (then) man is his own savior.
This page is dedicated to
Christ. It is intended for me to put my thoughts on
*paper* about Eternal Security
and Biblically speaking, why I believe it is TRUTH!

Jeremiah 32:38-41 - NEW
(Concerning the Promise of
the New Covenant)
"They will be my people, and
I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so
that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their
children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will
never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so
that they will never turn away from me. I will rejoice in doing them
good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul."
John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you,
he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and
does
not come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life.
John 6:37 and 39 (Jesus speaking
here)
"All that the Father gives
me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not
cast out.
"And this is the will of Him
who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but
raise it up on the last day."
(That's Us, ya'll!)
John 8:35-36 (Jesus)
"And the slave doesn not remain
in the house forever; the son does remain forever.
If therefore the Son shall
make you free, you shall be free indeed."
(We are sons of God when we
accept Him as Savior...therefore WE remain FOREVER!!!)
John 10:28-29 (Jesus' words)
"And I give eternal life to
them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out
of My hand.
"My Father, who has given
them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out
of the Father's hand."
(No one, not even ourselves!)
John 13:1
Now before the Feast of the
Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He should depart out
of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world,
He
loved them to the end (or, to the uttermost, or eternally).
(This is God's eternal love
for those who even would betray Him -- Judas, Peter.)
Matthew 26:47-50 -- NEW!!!
And while He was still speaking,
behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came up, accompanied by a great multitude
with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
Now he who was betraying Him
gave them a sign, saying "Whomever I shall kiss, He is the one; seize Him."
And immediately he went to
Jesus and said, "Hail, Rabbi!" and kissed Him.
And Jesus said to him,
"Friend, do what you have come for." Then they came and laid
hands on Jesus and seized Him.
(This verse is almost pivotal
in the doctrine of eternal security. Did you know that the term Friend,
when Jesus uses it, is a covenant term? That means that Jesus was
in covenant with Judas. If Judas was Jesus' friend, then even after
he betrayed Jesus to be crucified, then Judas is in heaven today.
Even after he went and hung himself [Matt.27:5] he was still in covenant
with God. And, according to Jesus, all of this happened that the
Scriptures would be fulfilled [Matt.26:56]. Do you realize what this
means? God is responsible to keep his end of the covenant relationship
which we have when we accept Christ's sacrifice for us. That means
He must forgive us and allow us into heaven....even if we're like Judas
and betray Him. This thought is mind-boggling, but true.)
Acts 16:31
And they said, "Believe
in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved,"
(Note: Not 'you shall
be saved unless you go out and sin again.)
Romans 5:20b-21
But where sin increased, grace
abounded all the more,
that, as sin reigned in
death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now
no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
For the law of the Spirit
of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of
death.
Romans 8:15-16
For you have not received
a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit
of adoption as sons by which we cry out "Abba, Father!"
The Spirit Himself bears witness
with our spirit that we are children of God.
Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from
the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution,
or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Just as it is written, "For
Thy sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as
sheep to be slaughtered."
But in all these things we
overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that
neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present,
nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth,
nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love
of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Can't argue with that, can
we? Well, if so, then stay tuned, because there's much more to come...)
Romans 11:29
For the gifts and the calling
of God are irrevocable.
1 Corinthians 1:8,9 - NEW
Who (the Lord Jesus Christ)
shall also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord
Jesus Christ.
God is faithful, through
whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 3:15 - NEW
If any man's work is burned
up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so
as through fire.
Galatians 2:21
I do not nullify the grace
of God; for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
Galatians 4:4-5
But when the fulness of time
came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,
In order that He might redeem
those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as
sons.
Ephesians 1:5 - NEW
He predestined us to
adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind
intention of His will.
Ephesians 1:11 - NEW
Also we have obtained an
inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works
all things after the counsel of His will.
Ephesians 1:13-14
In Him, you also, after listening
to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation - having also believed,
you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
who is given as a pledge
of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession,
to the praise of His glory.
(Wow...when we accept Christ,
God gives us the Holy Spirit to LIVE inside of us until Jesus returns.
Now, how could we NOT go to heaven when the Holy Spirit is living inside
of us? Don't you think God will remember to bring HIMSELF home!)
Ephesians 2:19
So then you are no longer
strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and
are
of God's household.
Philippians 1:6
For I am confident of this
very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until
the day of Christ Jesus.
(Note: This would not
be truthful if we'll just sin again, and are no longer His, right?
Why perfect a work in us if we'll just louse it all up? Because:
we are not perfect until we get to heaven.)
Colossians 1:13-14
For He delivered us from the
domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
In whom we have redemption,
the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 2:13-14
And when you were dead in
your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive
together with Him, having forgiven us ALL
our transgressions,
Having canceled out the certificate
of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and
He
has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
(This means past, present
and future sins!)
Titus 3:5
He saved us, not on the
basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according
to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy
Spirit.
(If we are not saved by the
deeds we have done, then how possibly can we keep our salvation by the
deeds we have done? There would be no possibility of that if it were
up to us!)
Hebrews 7:25
Hence, also, He is able
to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since
He always lives to make intercession for them.
(The word for *forever* is
also translated *completely*; not much room for falling out of grace.)
Hebrews 9:11-12
But when Christ apperaed as
a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater
and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of
this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through
His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained
eternal
redemption.
Hebrews 10:10
By this will we have been
sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for
all.
Hebrews 10:12
But He, having offered
one
sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the
right hand of God.
Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has
perfected for all time those who are sanctified.
Hebrews 10:17
"And their sins and their
lawless deeds
I will remember no more."
Hebrews 13:5b
For He Himself has said, "I
will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you."
1 Peter 1:3-5 - NEW
Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us
to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead,
to obtain an inheritance
which is imperishable, and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in
heaven for you,
who are protected by the
power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in
the last time.
1 John 2:1-2
My little children, I am writing
these things to you that you may not sin. And if anyone sins,
we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
And He Himself is the propitiation
for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
1 John 2:19 - NEW
They went out from us, but
they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have
remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown
that they are all not of us.
(Why did I put this verse
here? Because sometimes we may think someone is saved, or we are
saved, but we may not be. It's something only God can judge.)
1 John 3:6,9 - NEW
No one who abides in Him sins;
no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
No one who is born of God
practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot
sin, because he is born of God.
(Sin in this passage is translated
into habitual sin, or a practice of sinning, a sinning lifestyle.)
1 John 5:12-13
He who has the Son has the
life; he who does not have the Son does not have the life.
These things I have written
to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you
may know that you have eternal life.
Revelation 21:7
He who overcomes shall inherit
these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
